Challenge

The project called for a major interchange upgrade on SH2 (connecting SH58) - dubbed "Haywards Interchange". Walking and cycling upgrades, an alternative 'floating cycle' design and a close railway made for staging and TTM challenges that required compromise in many areas to maintain safety and productivity.

Solution

Parallaxx worked closely with our Tender partner, McConnell Dowell to come up with detailed and logistically-optimised staging plans as well as implementation of a number of innovative TTM solutions such as motorway contraflows and tidal flow operations to minimise disruption.

Results

Unfortunately our tender team were unsuccessful in our bid for the project which is now complete.
